1st week of Ct124:)
Apparel Accessories— when i first read the course description of CT 124 i really got excited because I’m into making accessories these past few months. I make accessories for my self and also some to sell. Entering CT124 class made me realize the different importance of accessories in our lives, before I thought it was only the things that give life to your outfit, but now I came to realize that its more than that. Accessories are not only for beautification but it can also be functional and serve as a protection. I also discovered that there are a lot of accessories that we wear each day, that some of what we wear are actually categorized as accessories and not as a garment. As a future designer we have to learn the different kinds of accessories or how it will fit the clothes because basically accessories add up color and life to a collection. Most of the time a simple garment can look out of the ordinary because of a piece of accessory that has been added up to the look. I’m very excited for the future classes of CT 124 because I would really love to learn more about accessories.
We also had a dress up day last week! Which I believe the whole class enjoyed. This activity proved that accessories play a big part in creating a look. Here are some of the pictures that I took; I dressed up as a grunge, pau as a hippie and my personal favorite that day the dashing diva, gelo.
